This blog follows my travels as I explore my love for this world and being able to creatively capture it through photography...

Me and the Blog

If you haven't read my intro on the About page, I suggest starting there. However, I can give you a quick rundown if you want the faster version. Firstly, my name is Collin O'Connor and I am a 21 year old from Massachusetts who loves animals(especially dogs and farm animals), skiing, hiking, sports, any adventurous activity, and food!

Only recently have I had the opportunity to truly expand my horizons when it comes to traveling. I also thought it would be fun to test my hand at photography in a more professional style. I fell in love with both instantly and plan to do a lot more traveling after I finish my studies. Currently I am using a Sony a6700 as my starter camera, but I will go into my gear and reasons for choosing it on another post. I am still finding my way, but I think it will be a great opportunity to share what I learn with others who may be in a similar situation. One day I hope my profession can consist of a mix of traveling and doing photography.

This blog will follow topics such as: my travel adventures, the photography kit or gear I am using, and other tips or tricks I come across. While this blog is for anyone with an adventurous mind or good eye for capturing the world, I also hope it will inspire more people to see and respect this beautiful world we live in. So keep up with me on my socials and feel free to look at some of my works in the gallery and store I set up to fund my adventures. Now lets get to the fun stuff!

What's Coming Up

As I mentioned, there will be multiple different areas this blog will cover relating to photography and traveling. I will most likely kick things off with my most recent travels that started my 2025. This is when I began what I view as more professional photography(i.e not just using my iPhone 12 camera). I had the opportunity to study in London for 7 weeks, and wish I could have seen even more of Europe. While I won't give the full itinerary here, I started in Tenerife, Spain, and ended up in Iceland. Over the rest of 2025 I am hoping to get out of country(USA) again and cross some of the US National Parks off my list. In these travels I will try to find some beautiful places, amazing food, all while meeting great people. I will share the good, the bad, and the ugly in this blog and my socials. However, the socials will only be the good photos :).

The Website

There is a few sections to the website, of course blog itself is the focal point and where I can add some talk to my show. Then there is the gallery, where I will upload some of my favorite photos I took. These will be sorted by year and place, along with some short descriptions of the shots. There will also be a shop on the website, this is to not only share my works, but also help fund the site, travels, and new gear. There is also forms so you can reach out to me with any questions, comments, or suggestions.

Thank You

Lastly, if you made it this far thank you for your time. This should be a fun project for me and I hope it is enjoyable to you as well. Go out and explore, see the world and everything it has to offer... Keep exploring, see you soon!
